Moong Dal Pakode

Ingredients :

Split yellow moong dal – 1 cup
Green chillies – 2 nos., chopped
Ginger – ½ inch, chopped
Black pepper- 1 tsp, freshly crushed
Fresh coriander leaves- 2 tsp, finely chopped
Salt – to taste
Oil – for deep frying

Method :

Soak the split yellow moong dal in water for 2-3 hours. Drain the water.

Add the chopped green chillies and ginger to the dal and grind in a mixer in pulse mode. Avoid adding water. If at all required, then add very little water to help in the grinding.

Add salt, freshly crushed pepper and chopped coriander leaves to the batter

Heat oil in a kadhai. Dip fingers in water, take the batter and make small balls. Drop them in medium hot oil. Fry them until golden brown and serve with green chutney
